► Visa-Free Entry Scheme 1

Entering China for ordinary passport holders of France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Malaysia, Switzerland, Ireland, Hungary, Austria, Belgium, and Luxembourg. Ordinary passport holders of the above-mentioned countries can enter China visa-free for business, tourism, visiting relatives and friends, and transit for no more than 15 days  (For details please visit https://www.chinadiscovery.com/chinese-visa/types.html).

► Visa-Free Entry Scheme 2

Entering China for a stay up to 30 days, for citizens holding ordinary passports from 23 countries including Thailand, Singapore, Maldives, Kazakhstan, Antigua and Barbuda, Albania, United Arab Emirates, Barbados, Bahamas, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dominica, Ecuador, Fiji, Grenada, Qatar, Mauritius, Serbia, Seychelles, San Marino, Suriname, Tonga, Armenia.

► Visa-Free Entry Scheme 3 for Entering Hainan Province Only:

This scheme is for citizens holding ordinary passports from 59 countries, to enter Hainan province only, and staying there up to 30 days. There is a special travel restriction that the attendees need to enter Hainan province from outside of mainland China, most likely by making a transit at Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok, etc. A transit (including technical transit) at cities in mainland China will not work. The 59 countries include:

6 American Countries: The United States, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile.

2 Oceania Countries: Australia, New Zealand.

25 Schengen Agreement Countries: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland.

15 Other European Countries: Russia, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia (FYROM), Albania, Belarus, Monaco.

11 Asian Countries: Korea, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Kazakhstan, the Philippines, Indonesia, Brunei, United Arab Emirates, Qatar.

► Visa-Free Entry Scheme 4

Entering China for citizens of 153 countries with diplomatic, official, service, or ordinary passport for public affairs based on Agreements on Mutual Visa Exemption Between the People’s Republic of China and Foreign Countries (For details please visit http://cs.mfa.gov.cn/wgrlh/lhqz/lhqzjjs/202312/t20231208_11197270.shtml). 

► Entering China though Regular Visa Application

For those attendees cannot using visa-free entry schemes, or planning to visit other places in China, please apply a F visa (for research, lecture, scientific, cultural exchange and study tour) or a L visa (for tourism). To avoid uncertainty, attendees are advised to apply for a visa at least 1 month in advance. Please note that the documents required for visa application may vary from country to country. Please consult the Embassy of P.R. China in your country for information in detail. 

► How to Apply a Visa for China?

Step 1: Fill in China visa application form online, print it out and sign it. Remember to choose the Chinese embassy or consulate, or Chinese Visa Application Centers (CVASC) in charge of your residence district. 

Step 2: Collect other required documents.

Step 3: Make an appointment online for visa application submission with Chinese embassy or consulate, or CVASC in charge of your residence district.

Step 4: Visit the Chinese embassy or consulate or CVASC at the appointed time, submit your application and pay the fee. You will then be given a pick-up slip. The visa fee in some countries are paid when collecting the visa.

Step 5: Collect your passport and visa on the date shown on the pick-up slip. If you use mail service, just wait for your mail.

► Invitation Letters 

The invitation letter will be sent to your email after the successful registration. Please use a current e-mail address and make sure that it is entered correctly.

Your name must be listed exactly as it appears on your passport. Any differences between the name on your passport and the name on your invitation letter or other documentation could lead to a delay and/or denial of your visa.

Please register as early as you can to make sure you have enough time.
