Welcome to Haikou for the 16th Asia Pacific Physics Conference (APPC16)! To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience, please take a moment to review the following information.

** The banquet will be held on October 21, 18:00–20:00 at Meilan Hall A. Attendance is optional, and tickets can be purchased on-site at the registration desk.

**Lunch and dinner will be provided from October 19 to 23, and lunch will also be provided on October 24. These meals are included in both the student and standard registration fees.

**Meal vouchers will be distributed at registration and must be presented to receive meals during the conference. Lost vouchers will not be replaced, so please keep them safe.

Conference Shuttle Route and Schedule

During the conference, we’ll offer free shuttle buses at specific times between the venue and the partner hotel. The routes are as follows:

Taxi from Airport to Conference Venue

A taxi ride from Haikou Meilan International Airport to the Hilton Haikou Meilan Hotel (conference venue) takes approximately 25–30 minutes and costs around 60 CNY (approximately 8 USD).

Please take a taxi only from the designated airport taxi station to ensure safety and standard pricing.

Notes for Participants

1. The average temperature in Haikou in October is around 25°C to 30°C (77°F to 86°F), with warm days and mild evenings.

2. Each session room is equipped with a computer. Speakers are kindly requested to upload their PPTs to the session computer at least ten minutes before the start of their session.

3. Posters may be put up after registration on Sunday, October 19, and could be removed after 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 22. The Poster Sessions will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday from 13:00 to 14:00. For specific locations, please refer to the section “Lecture Rooms & Locations for Posters and Exhibition Booths” in the conference handbook.

4. There are no additional network charges for this conference. Participants are welcome to use the hotel’s complimentary Wi-Fi service.

5. Participants who have booked and paid for their hotel accommodation through the conference website, but need to leave earlier due to a change in schedule, may fill out a refund form at the hotel front desk. The refund will be processed collectively after the conference.

6. Accommodation invoices can be issued at the hotel front desk. 

7. Registration invoices can be downloaded from the conference website after the conclusion of the meeting.
