Primary Solution: Using the DiDi App ("Uber" of China)

Steps to Use:

1. Download & Install: Find the "DiDi" app on the App Store or Google Play and install it. Switch the language to English in the app's "Settings."

2. Registration & Payment:

1. Use your Chinese SIM card or your number with international roaming to receive an SMS verification code.

2. Bind an international credit card (Visa, MasterCard, etc.)—the latest DiDi version supports this directly.

3. Hailing a Ride On-Demand: Open the app, enter your destination (English input is supported, but using Chinese place names or hotel names is more accurate), and select your vehicle type. After confirming, the driver can communicate with you via the built-in translation feature or standardized Chinese messages.

4. Scheduling a Ride in Advance: (Highly recommended if you arrive in China late at night.) You can schedule rides up to five days in advance. Tap "Schedule," select a pickup time (suggest about one hour after your plane lands), and enter your pickup location and destination.

Backup Solution:

Print the Chinese version of your hotel name and address and carry some Chinese cash. This allows you to take a taxi if your internet connection is poor.
